Hand BaggageWhat is the size of hand baggage I may carry with me during flight?
Hand baggage should be at a size that fits into under your seat or overhead cabin rack and should be in one piece. It should fit to the dimensions given below. Those hand baggages that does not fit these dimensions or weight will be carried as a checked baggage. Name and address label should be attached inside and outside your baggage. The permitted number of allowed carry-on suitcases is determined by the service class booked. - Economy cabin: 1 piece (25cmx45cmx56cm) total 8kg + 1 personal item (camera, umbrella, suite covers, hand bag, baby carriage, laptop, tablet and PC)
- Business cabin: 2 pieces (25cmx45cmx56cm) 8kg each+ 1 personal item (camera, umbrella, suite covers, hand bag, baby carriage, laptop, tablet and PC)
Can I carry my musical instrument on board?
If your musical instrument does not exceed the dimensions or weight of a hand baggage (max 25x45x56 cm in size, total dimensions/weight up to max.126 cm/8 kg) you can take it with you on board.
For musical instruments that exceed the dimensions or weight(cello, viola, violoncello, etc.) for a hand baggage but are suitable for the cabin height standards, an additional seat must be booked. Atlasjet Ukraine cannot transport contrabass due to cabin height. If the passenger wishes to carry own music instruments as part of the checked baggage which are considered unsuitable for carriage because they are fragile or unsuitably packed, the baggage can only be accepted with a Limited Release Tag conforming that does not accept any liability in case of damage and Limited Release Tag is signed by the passenger..
What are the rules applied for carrying liquid and similar substances in hand baggage?
The restrictions applying for international flights, will also be valid starting from March 1, 2012 at İstanbul New and Sabiha Gökçen Airports and they will apply for all domestic flights starting from April 1, 2012. Liquids, aerosols and gels can be carried in limited quantities, but only in separate containers not exceeding 100ml. These containers must be brought to the airport and presented to screening in a single transparent resealable plastic bag, which must not exceed 1 liter in capacity. Each passenger may carry only one plastic bag in dimensions approximately 20x20 cm.
The liquids which are restricted onboard in carry-on luggage will be allowed in checked baggage within the rules of the airline.The subject application does not prohibit the carriage of liquids but the amount of them.
How will the application work?
* Each passenger can carry 1 clear plastic bag,
* The containers in the bag can only be up to 100 ml. each,
* No matter what the amount is, the containers bigger than 100 ml. will not be allowed,
* The passengers must show their liquids at the final security control and put them seperately on the x-ray,
* No liquid restrictions will be applied for luggages that are checked in but our airline rules will be applied,
* Considering the restrictions it will be easier for passengers to put their liquids in their check in luggages.
A. Liquids included in the restriction:
All kinds of liquid including water, syrup, drink,
All kinds of cosmetics including cream, lotion oils (including cosmetic oils), perfumes, mascara (excluding the lipstick in solid form)
Shaving foams, deodorants
All substances in the form of paste including toothpaste; semi-solid food such as jam, honey, yoghurt, molasses and sauce, contact lens liquid, shampoos.
Other substances similar to the ones listed above.
B. Exceptions applied in special cases:
Medicines (provided that they are prescribed on the name of the passenger or a health report / document stating that the passenger should use such medicines is presented and such medicine is kept in its original package.)
Baby food (provided that the baby is also travelling on board and up to the amount required during the flight.)
Security officers may ask you to document the exceptional case or may make you taste the medicine / baby food / liquid at the check point.
C. Products I buy from duty-free shop/aircraft during international flights:
The products you buy from duty-free shop or during the flight will be placed in a special bag together with the invoice and the bag will be sealed. This bag will be allowed on board only after the bag and the invoice are checked at the security check point.
If you will go to final destination point by making a transit through another airport, you should not open the special duty-free shopping bag given in the shop or on board until the final destination airport. Otherwise, the content of the bag may be seized in transit airport.
In the transits made in European Union countries or America, it is not allowed to carry the products exceeding 100 ml bought previously from duty-free shops in hand baggage even they are in sealed bags.
Fluid substances like olive oil, pickles, tomato paste; flammable substances such as acetone, cologne; cans, sacks, plastic bags and barrels will not be accepted to the flight neither as free baggage nor as cabin baggage.

Damaged Baggage If the delivered baggage is damaged ( broken wheel or handle, torn baggage or deficiency in the goods) , the passenger must apply to our Ground Service company from the “Arrivals Lounge” to report the damage.
Due to the Montreal Convention(article 31/2,3,4), in case of a damage the passenger must complain to the airline company forthwith after the discovery of the damage, and, at the latest, within seven(7) days from the date of the flight. Every complaint must be made in writing and given or dispatched within seven(7) days. If no complaint is made within the times aforesaid, a file will not be opened and the airline company will not have any liability of reimbursement.
If the passenger applies for damaged baggage within seven days, Atlasglobal Airlines will cover the repairing expenses, if it is proved that the damaged has happened during the possession of Airline. In case where the repair is not possible, a similar baggage will be provided or a payment will be done based on the value and the purchase date of the baggage.
AtlasGlobal is not liable for the destruction, loss or damage of any baggage caused by its inherent defect or poor quality as well as the following conditions that result from normal wear and tear:
- lost belts and eyelets;
- insignificant scuffs and scratches, damages as a result of suitcase overfilling;
- damage of the suitcase or bag handle;
- damage to the fragile articles or perishable products;
- damage to the unduly packed articles;
- Loss of external locks, pull straps, security straps or zipper tabs
The Ground Service company will fill you a PIR (Property Irregularity Report). In order to assess your request for reimbursement, the following documents should be sent to our Central Lost and Found office. You can also contact us from lf-ua@atlasglb.com.
For damaged baggage :
* Original damage report
* Original ticket and baggage tags
* Photo of the damaged baggage
* The receipt of the damaged baggage if possible
* The repair bill,
* If a repair is not possible, a written statement of a specialized retailer is required that says the repair is not possible. The current value and baggage size information of the damaged property should be remarked.

P.S.:Please always keep damaged baggage until the matter has been finally settled. Otherwise, we kindly inform you that Airline is not liable.Cabin Baggage Refers to items that may be carried as block seat baggage in the cabin. Passengers will pay for an additional seat charge in order to bring onboard a CBBG. A service request for CBBG must be made at least 24 hours prior to Estimated Time of Departure (ETD). Articles over 75 kg (165 lbs) of weight per seat shall not be accepted. Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading the CBBG in and out of the aircraft.
Lost Baggage If a checked baggage does not arrive at the destination, the passenger must apply to our Ground Service company from the “Arrivals Lounge” to report the missing baggage. The Ground Service company will fill a PIR (Property Irregularity Report)andyou will then receive a written confirmation with a reference number. Please keep this safe as you will need it again. We are searching for your baggage with the help of a worldwide baggage tracing system to which several hundred airlines are affiliated.We find most missing baggages within 1 to 5 days. If the baggage is not found within 5 days, the research will be transferred to the Central Lost and Found department of our company. Our Lost and Found team from Central department will contact you by telephone or by e-mail and ask you to complete a list of the contents of your delayed baggage. With the help of the contents list you complete, we will carry out an intensive contents-related search for your baggage. For this reason we request that you complete the contents list in as much detail as possible and send completed contents list form to our e-mail address lf-ua@atlasglb.com
As soon as your baggage is located we will contact you to arrange to deliver it to you. The transport charges will be covered by the Atlasjet Ukraine . Passengers can also collect their baggage by themselves at the airport. We would like to draw Your attention to the fact that airline’s liability for baggage loss is limited. The air carrier is not liable for the damage or loss of fragile, brittle items, breakable and perishable items, electronic equipment, computer software, money, keys, jewellery, medical documentations, passports and other identification documents, samples, unique or irreplaceable items or any other valuable items.
The maximum investigation period is two(2) months for lost baggage. For the baggage that can’t be found within this period, Atlasjet Ukraine will pay compensation according to the Montreal Convention.
Checked Baggage Refers to items of luggage delivered to AtlasGlobal for transportation in the hold of an aircraft. Once the passenger checks all luggage items, the airline agent will put a bag tag on each item that indicates passengers name, flight number(s), and all cities in the ticketed itinerary. A copy of the bag tag will be provided to the passenger for baggage claim at destination. A checked baggage must weigh no heavier than 32 kg (70 lbs). Additional charges will apply to any item that exceeds the free baggage rights, however baggages exceeding 32 kg does not accepted.
